Let’s House Alaska policy briefs are intended to suggest and inspire. They’re non-comprehensive and do not necessarily reflect the priorities or preferences of any organization affiliated with Let’s House Alaska.
The National Housing Crisis Task Force identifies five interdependent categories of a strong housing strategy: governance, land, capital, construction, and regulation.

The Task Force emphasizes—implementing at least one tool from each of the five categories at the same time promotes a catalytic impact in a region. Tools from any single segment deployed alone are far less effective. It takes a combination of tools to build a house, and it’ll take a combination of policies to solve the housing shortage.
