Frequently Asked Questions
-
We are a network-powered movement. We'll provide materials that any participant can use or adapt to spread information, query candidates, and reinforce the message that state policymakers can and should do more on housing.
-
We are built for broad participation. Let’s House Alaska includes a web-based sign-on for organizations and individuals to express support for the message that Alaska has a housing shortage, there’s more that our policymakers can do to solve it, and we want them to take action in 2027. We also have a storytelling board where Alaskans can share their personal experiences with the housing shortage.
-
Let’s House Alaska is focused on elevating housing action as a priority issue and securing candidate commitments to act if elected. It is not about endorsing or backing any individual candidate. We're also not advancing any particular policy positions. Let’s House Alaska emphasizes the importance of a strategy of coordination across five categories: land, capitol, construction, regulation, and governance. We also host a resource library, but the purpose is to be descriptive rather than prescriptive.
